Today I wanted to introduce you to Happsters Squad member, Kristy ( @uncommonwellness)! I asked her a few questions and wanted to share her answers. Check out what she said below: ▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎1. What is one thing that brings you happiness? Lately I get the most happiness from taking an entire day each week that I take a break from work, emails, and social media and get outdoors to connect with myself, with nature, and with people I love. My ideal day includes a hike, a good brunch, soaking up the San Diego sunshine, and relaxing- all with the people (and dogs) that mean the most to me, and while being totally present. ▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎2. What is your favorite book and why? My favorite book is "Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. I read it as a freshman in college, and was profoundly impacted by Dr. Frankl’s perspective as a concentration camp survivor during the holocaust. He said that “love is the ultimate and the highest goal to which a man can aspire” and explains so beautifully how meaning in living can be found even in the most difficult circumstances. A close runner up for favorite book would be the entire Harry Potter series. Everything you need to know about courage, character, and friendship is right there. ▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎3. Why did you join the squad? When I first met Happsters Squad founder Kelli, she told me her vision to create a community that would connect like-minded women while doing things that promote our own growth and wellbeing, as well as complete projects that could help others and support our local community. All of these things are right up my alley, so naturally when she asked me to be a part of Girl Squad my response was a resounding yes! I look forward to our events and always leave feeling renewed and connected.
