piercesmithua : Joe, you could not be that naive. This is a sales industry without any sales training. So, agent will not see themselves as sales people but “negotiators”. Agents are definitely not negotiators! What has to change is:

piercesmithua : Training, perception, recruiting standards, field training, and frequent educational meetings. Brokers have skirted every responsibility possible to save time, staffing, support, costs to max profit. Abysmal job of leadership, ethos, professionalism of agents. Consumer response is ignored and answered with complex unrealistic jargon.

I will let you know I am a proud, knowledgeable, proactive, well-educated, and SUCCESSFUL real estate agent. I pride myself and my success on superior service..... and it works for me.

piercesmithua : jen, understood; but your naïveté must be addressed so the truth be told. You obviously have no idea what sales is or causes, strategies, tactics, or purpose. If you knew, you would be a much better agent. Your lack of trust to call yourself a sales person is shocking to me.
