Send me as many vibes as you can to grow this incredibly precious cutting I received from an old friend: "you have a grand baby of Lane Berk’s famous night blooming cereus. She plucked it from the hillside of a volcano in Hawaii while there on her honeymoon in 1952. She took it home to Baltimore and it flourished under her love and care and then Betty’s-her housekeeper from 1984. At one time it had 26 flowers on it and regularly bloomed multiple times per year-the smell would wake Lane up. Optional Additions:I was told that the volcano was erupting and she actually ‘saved’ the plant, I was also told that the plant is being studied to see why it’s blooms are so frequent :)" Holy wow what a gift, and I'm so glad I know you after all these years ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️(*edit I got this cute little pot from 👻👻)

samalamity : Oh wow, that's incredibly special. I want a plant with a backstory like that. The closest I have is a donkey tail from the plant my mom has care for since the late 70s, before I was born.

tulipoplar : I inherited a cutting from a dear old friend as well and 12 years later, she still blooms all the time. I find they like to be a little root bound. Makes sense if they grow on a volcano where there isn’t deep soil, I spose.
